Project Details
Description
Logical analysis of data is a data mining techniques that is used for diagnosis and prognosis purposes and also foe extracting knowledge form data. The research proposed in this project aims at improving the performance of Logical Analysis of Data while implemented on large scale applications. Novel algorithms will be devised based on decomposition techniques and nature inspired algorithms. The new algorithm will be used to generate the patterns required for the implementation of Logical Analysis of Data. Computational experiments will be conducted to ensure the superiority of the developed algorithms. The research will contribute to many fields; Operations Research, Data Mining, and Knowledge Extraction. Also, the project will open a new area of research that has not been tackled yet in Systems Engineering Department. This will widen the scope of the department and opens new opportunities for future graduate students.
