He currently holds a postdoctoral fellowship at the Applied Research Center for Environment and Marine Studies (ARC-EMS) at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (KFUPM). Prior to this role, he completed his PhD and Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at Cochin University of Science and Technology. He is currently a Member of the UN Regular Process PoE for Global Marine Environment Assessment and serves on numerous scientific bodies. Additionally, he works as a subject editor for the Journal One Ecosystem and reviews manuscripts for several journals.

His research interests encompass the broad field of global changes and their impacts on ecosystems, economies, and health. He employs a diverse array of experimental and modeling techniques to address various research inquiries. Recent research efforts have focused on the following specific areas:

1. Predicting the impacts of environmental changes on invasive species.
2. Quantifying biological invasions using eDNA and advanced tools.
3. Understanding food webs and trophic interactions.
4. Monitoring levels of aquatic pollution.

Active collaborations are maintained with colleagues in these research themes, which include biological invasions, climate change, ecosystems, trophic interactions, and water quality.
