Vision: 
To be a globally well-recognized center for interdisciplinary and transformative research in petroleum conversion and sustainability of petroleum resources.
Mission: 
  • Develop futuristic technologies for petroleum conversion that diversify value-chain of crude oil.
  • Build infrastructure to facilitate scale-up of process technologies from ‘concept validation’ (TRL4) to ‘pilot trials’ (TRL6).
  • Apply chemical sciences and engineering to solve industrial challenges using KFUPM’s infrastructure and human resources.
  • Enable new business opportunities through commercialization of chemical technologies.
  • Support local and regional downstream industry research, innovation and training.
